Meet The Maker
Hey there! I'm Kassandra, the creative force behind Kavani Studio. Let me take you on a journey of how this awesome small business came to life. You see, I've always had this burning passion for creating things, and what better way to feed that fire than by making products that bring joy to others?
I have embraced a multitude of roles that have shaped me into the versatile individual that I am today. From my early days helping my parents with their business ventures, to taking the stage as beauty pageant queen and working as model to pay for college, to directing the operations of a multimillion dollar company. The pandemic struck, and amidst the chaos, I welcomed my first and only son into the world and temporarily moved back to my homeland Vieques, Puerto Rico. This life altering event sparked a profound realization within me - the desire to create something of my own, something that would allow me to balance my newfound role as a mother with my entrepreneurial spirit.
And so, Kavani Studio was born - a labor of love and testament of my unwavering determination. With a deep-rooted passion for creativity and an unwavering commitment to excellence, I set to establish a haven where individuals can embrace their unique beauty and express themselves through the art of jewelry. But I can't take all the credit for this adventure. I owe a huge shoutout to my late Father Nelson, who ignited my entrepreneurial spirit, so ,in his honor, I decided to name this exciting venture "Kavani Studio" after his old store “Kavani Vieques T-Shirts”.
Now, let's talk about the magic that happens in my studio. I work with a wide range of materials and techniques, but my favorites include polymer clay, threads, beads, paints, Jesmonite (Eco-Resin), and even good ol' concrete. With these incredible tools, I craft unique and eye-catching pieces that you can find right here on our website.
Each creation is made with love, care, and a sprinkle of artistic magic. Join me on this creative journey and let's bring a little more color, joy, and personality into this world to make it a more vibrant and exciting place.
Handmade with care
All items are handmade in small batches in our home studio. This means that every single piece is made with genuine care and that for every order received we are definitely doing a little happy dance. Earrings are molded, baked, sanded, drilled, glazed, mounted and packaged individually with the utmost attention to detail. We are proud of every piece we put out there and hope that you get lots of “I love your Earrings!” compliments when you wear them.
We care about our Planet
A lot of time has been put into ensuring that we are making smart and environmentally conscious decisions. Kavani Studio’s packaging and processes aspire to be friendly to our planet. We choose packaging materials that are reusable, recyclable and made with recycled materials. We use recycled cardboard and paper to protect the contents and try to stay away from plastics or foam as much as possible. We do not wrap our pieces with plastic and offer reusable cloth bags instead.
